At the Frölunda Torg shopping mall in Gothenburg, Sweden, we have implemented a solution that boosts the region's transition toward a fossil-free future.

Energy Machines' heat pump technology ensures that no energy is wasted and enables thermal energy to be stored in the bedrock via boreholes. The implementation increases the profitability and competitiveness of the shopping mall, while lowering its carbon footprint.

Previously, this large property often required simultaneous heating and cooling. After being retro-fitted with the new heat pumps, the energy system of the property is able to capture, store and recycle excess heat.

Today, the mall is utilizing surplus heat from an adjacent supermarket and decreasing the carbon footprint of all its tenants through a micro-grid connection.
